MyKid ("we", "us") helps parents and clinicians track a child's growth, vaccinations, medications and documents. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using MyKid (the web app at mykidapp.in/app and the Android/iOS apps) you agree to this policy.
Everything below is collected in one of three ways: you type or upload it, a clinician you have connected with records it, or the app generates it automatically to run the service. We do not buy data about you, and we do not collect it from third parties.
We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers or browsing history, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
That is the complete list. We do not use your data for any other purpose, and we do not use it to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
“Ask Sprout” can answer your questions using a third-party AI service. This only happens after you explicitly turn it on. The first time you use Ask Sprout, the app shows a clear consent screen describing exactly what is shared and with whom, and asks your permission; you can change your choice at any time in Settings / Profile → Sprout AI. Until you consent, Sprout answers using a built-in assistant that runs on our own servers, and no data is sent to any third-party AI.
Equal protection. Anthropic is the only third party that ever receives your personal data, and it receives it strictly as our processor. We have confirmed that it provides protection equal to our own: it uses the data solely to return an answer to your question, it does not train its models on it, it does not sell it, it does not use it for advertising, and it does not retain it for its own purposes. If you turn the feature off, nothing is shared with it at all. Ask Sprout is the only feature in MyKid that involves a third-party AI service — no other part of the app sends your data anywhere outside our own servers.
Documents are stored encrypted with EXIF metadata stripped and format/malware scanning; the service is served over HTTPS/TLS and supports mandatory MFA and encryption. Access is role-based: parents see only their own children; clinicians operate their clinic roster.
Our data model is FHIR-aligned and uses WHO Child Growth Standards, SNOMED CT / LOINC / RxNorm coding, and is ABHA / national health-ID linkage-ready.
Every growth percentile, vaccine due date, milestone checklist, calorie target, dose range and tracker rule in MyKid comes from published paediatric guidance — the WHO Child Growth Standards, the IAP immunization schedule and standard treatment guidelines, ICMR‑NIN dietary guidelines, and others. The full list, with a link to each source and a note on exactly what it is used for, is at mykidapp.in/sources — and in the app under Profile / Settings → “Where our medical information comes from”, plus at the foot of every screen that shows medical information.
Child records are created and managed by a supervising adult (a parent/guardian or clinician). MyKid supports guardianship-handover and age-of-majority consent flows. Kid mode never shows a child any drug name, dose, diagnosis or clinical number.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

MyKid is for information and organisation only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. Growth percentiles are computed from the WHO Child Growth Standards (with the revised IAP charts available as an option) and the vaccine schedule follows the IAP schedule — see mykidapp.in/sources for every source. A condition-tracker score is a summary of what you logged, not a diagnosis. Always consult your paediatrician for medical decisions; in an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
